1 st Draft Term Paper Feedback: For this 1st draft of your term paper you don’t need to add your PICO information in it-no tableInstead you should have a title page and then an 8 page body including your introduction and/orabstract main information, and conclusion. Then you should have a reference page. You also don’tneed to use the I, ll, etc in your paper.

Process For Completing Term Paper
Step-by-Step Process:
1. Determine what community nutrition subject you want to research. I gave you a few ideas
under module 1, but you could suggest others. You just have to let me approve the topic.
2. Next look for research papers to support your topic under the Troy data base. You will use and
credit this research to support the arguments you make in your paper.
3. Do an outline. This is the ‘bones’ of your paper and helps you lay out the progression of your
argument. Use the information from Troy Library Tutorial link to help with doing your outline
and as you move forward with your paper. Be sure to look at the Help provided under the Troy
Library link. For those of you not familiar with doing term papers, you need to give special
emphasis to this.
4. Complete drafts of your paper. I will review the two drafts and make suggestions for
improvement.
5. Finally submit the polished term paper the last week of the class. All the work done on the
term paper is in place of a final and will count for 35% of your grade.
Technical Requirements:
1. Word documents only.
2. Paper set up is:

Abstract statement
Troy is a small town in Alabama with a population of 19,010, of which 22.6% are
minors, 66.3% are adults, and 11.1% are elderly. 13.4% of citizens in Troy have
diabetes, and the obesity rate is 36.8%. Therefore, reducing obesity and diabetes
prevalence is one of the important indicators to test effective nutrient intake.
Change local eating movement improving nutritional intake.
A.
Analysis current situation of local eating movement.
There are no vegetarian restaurants in Troy and high-calorie restaurants (such as fried
chicken restaurants and fast food restaurants) have a higher proportion of local
restaurants, which should be one of reason why Troy has a higher prevalence of
diabetes (9.4%) than the US average.

advertising, such as setting up a billboard in some striking places about healthy living
or promoting through the media. A prerequisite for changing the people’s eating habits
is to raise public awareness of healthy nutritional intake. There are different ways of
age and gender. For pregnant women, Health Belief Model is used. Implementing the
Smarter Pregnancy mobile health (mHealth) coaching program can effectively
improve periconceptional nutrition and lifestyle in women(Gootjes, DV., 2019). For
the elderly, Precede-Proceed is used. Medical staff can be appointed to conduct health
checks on the elderly, teach the elderly about healthy eating, and make nutrition plans
for the elderly. For example, a nutrition plan is prepared for an elderly person
suffering
from
xerostomia
(Nihtilä,
A.,2019).
For
students,
Knowledge-Attitude-Behavior Model is used. Ask the dietitian if they can go to the
school to give students a lecture on eating habits, arouse students’ health awareness,
and gain some structural knowledge of nutrition, so that students can realize that
unhealthy food has a bad health. influences. From the school side, the school is
required to provide a diet that is conducive to the health of students.(Srbely, V.,2019)
C.
Predict the result after use methods.
These methods are long-term and do not see the effect in a short time. As I said in the
I, the prevalence of obesity and the prevalence of high blood sugar is one of the
indicators to test whether these methods are effective. Establishing the health
awareness of local residents is fundamental to changing the eating movement in order
to increase the efficiency of nutrient intake. The proportion of local restaurants also
reflects the dietary habits of the residents and the results of these measures.

Conclusion Statement
The effectiveness of improving nutrient intake is to change the daily intake structure
of citizens in the community. From a macro perspective, it is to change the number of
different types of restaurants in the local area and the proportion of foods in
supermarkets.

Search Strategy:
Electronic databases including Cochran, MEDLINE, and Pub Med were searched
last five year. Nutritional intake, eating movement, diet and communities is the key
term in the search. The search focused on specific populations of the same conditions
in the same region, analyzing their daily diet and providing some interventions. They
have no established requirements, but have uniform standards. Four studies met the
search criteria.
